"I am an experienced Licensed Therapist with 9 years of experience who is trained to help work through grief and trauma. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a background working with families in their home, with adults at an inpatient psychiatric facility, and seeing clients as an outpatient therapist. My ideal client would be someone who is open to learning new skills and wants to work through their anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or have a loss that they are grieving. Goals would be to address psychosocial triggers that are interfering with their day-to-day life and learning ways to manage and move past these issues.

My practice comes from a strength-based perspective, which focuses on utilizing your attributes in order to overcome challenges. I believe in meeting you where you are and developing the best treatment for you together. I also believe that engaging in individual therapy can be helpful for everyone.

I completed my Master of Social Work (MSW) at Simmons University. I am trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and am a Certificated Grief Professional (CGP). I have 8 years of experience in the mental health field."

"Please note: I am only taking new clients who are looking for in person services."

"I believe that all people can benefit from therapy and that the most important factor is the therapeutic relationship. Being able to connect with another human being and explore our innermost thoughts and feelings is where healing begins. As a clinical social worker, I am trained to consider the impact of all the forces around an individual in order to understand their current circumstances. I do not see an individual as a single entity, but an intersection of biological, psychological, and social influences. Whether its an aspect of our identity (gender, race, sexual orientation, gender identity), a life change, an illness, a loss, a traumatic event that overwhelms our ability to cope, or something from our upbringing- identifying the impact of these experiences and developing a plan to learn to cope more effectively and understand/change our patterns is the goal of therapy.

I work especially well with people experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and those who have been impacted by trauma. I also have experience with those struggling with substance use, self harm, suicidal ideation, and personality disorders. I work with people of all genders and sexual identities. I have training in Mindfulness Based Therapies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I have worked on crisis teams and in a psychiatric hospital prior to becoming an outpatient therapist. My style is eclectic and relational and typically I will use parts of each of these in order to collaboratively develop a treatment plan that meets your individual needs."
